Tell us if you are serious. There are now many traceurs within Flying Squad who are ready to jump to a higher level. R u serious? It's time to step up, most of you are now strong enough and committed enough to begin more progressive training. If you want to begin let us know. Flying Squad is ready! Are you?
This means jumps will involve more serious training; more strength work, more stretching, more technical support & advice and more encouragement. only for those who believe they are ready and want it. We want to do as much as we can for us all to attain higher levels. We will help/encourage you if you want it. Of course it will remain as fun as ever. Anyone involved with Flying Squad who wants this has to state that you are serious. Then we can begin.

That's excellent! Pretty sure kingo will be up for it too. I think to begin with you should all do your own warm-ups. Get properly warm with the usual kindov jumping, cats, vaults and the usual stuff. then we can begin building a program of exercises. Nothing regimented or competitive (unless you want to personally), We can spend some time indentify training specific exercises. Then you can all go at them as you see best for yourself. I think the best location is Imax with the stairs and sloping walls. I have some good ideas that i know will do the job,
It's time to begin focusing your minds on what you want from the efforts that you put into training. Visualisation is your most potent training tool Use your imagination to visualise what you want to be and who you want to be You must bare in mind that you will only get out what you put in. Serious training is personal you will take yourself as far as you want to go. I expect none of you have done serious training before so it may come as a bit of a shock at first, however you must percevere to get the end results The best athletes know input equates to output.
I wont put myself into a position were i have to shout or get frustrated because it would spoil it for me and i dont want to be a dictator. So if you choose to mess around it wont work. It begins this weekend we will start implementing a more active physical development program.

I er... will be serious when my injuries heal up.
It seems I am already doing some strength training without even know it lol. All the people who have had to use crutched will know, it takes a lot of effort to walk with crutches. Even relatively short distances seem huge. But after only a week of using crutches to walk about, I can notice a difference in strength in my arm and especially my shoulder as it's weak from another injury I had a few months back.
When I come back into training again, I will try my best to be back for good (ie have no more injuries). I will warm up and stretch etc to prevent or at least reduce the seriousness of my injuries and will train harder and more frequently than before.

I empathise with your comments beast, I had 18 months of ankle injuries their have been times when i could have cried with frustration. i never rested properly and tried to do too much too soon, which kept either ankle in a state of partial fitness. The slightest twist, knock or over extension and i'de be back to square one. Do it properly mate you have a life time of jumping if you want it.
This is more reason for proper conditioning for us all.
if you all want to ascend the heights of freerunning ability, your intent is to condition your bodies & minds This is achieved physically & mentally in equal amounts, as much as you prepare your bodies you prepare your minds. The power of thought & intention is paramount. Begin visualisingwhat you want to become without limits........ NO LIMITS.
