OK with who ever wasn't on the jam Saturday 16/12/06, it was one of my darkest days (and funniest with the laughing gas). We were jamming on sandbank and Fogs was spotting me for a wall flip as I landed normal, I felt a big well hurt in my left knee and dislocated it. I know people have got photos and videos because I asked them to do it (don't ask me why?).
But back to the story I dislocated my left knee lots of people helped me with putting their jackets on me or staying with me, with that I want to say thank you (I know I said it alot Saturday but if that was my sixth form friends they of would of laughed or do something like that) Big thanks to Neo(nick) who stayed with me in the hospital.
Anyway did my knee in at 1.30pm and got out at 6.30pm. Big cast and crutches for around 6 weeks but hopefully I'l be down South bank just to say hi and things.

Hope you didn't have any trouble on the way home... Get better as soon as you can, so we can jam again!

Tough luck mate. Goes to show accidents can happen even under the safest conditions. I hope you get well sooner than 6 weeks. But I guess you'll be getting that break we talked about, eh? Too bad it has to be like this, but don't let it stop you from returning with 110% effort in a couple months.
Get well soon !

Hey team Just been hospital today . and bad news looks like I will be out of action for 2 months! or more. I have tore my ligaments on my knee from alexx's picture that big lump on the right has pulled and tore my ligaments. So my knee is in an brace and can only more 30 degrees for 3 weeks then it moves up to 40 then 70 then 90. After that I will need to get physio therapy . I will hopefully be down jams, but the doc said alot of rest. Anyway I hope you are all well Kingo (David Board ;D) PS I know people got videos of me getting hi on the laughing gas so can you pm the link to me please.

Make sure you go through the full recovery process. No shortcuts! II is imperative that you give the injury every opportunity to heal completely. you are a strong, fit young man and your recovery will be good as long as you dont come back too soon. There is no rush you have plenty of time. Try to use the time to work on elements of fitness that you werent working on before.
I know from personal experiance with the injuries that i have had to my ankles. If you come back too soon you are more vulnarable to repeating the injury. It is a foolish mistake to think that you are better off trying to push the recovery period. If you follow insructions from the physio you will come back stronger.
I wish you all the best for a full recovery. i'll be sending you positive healing thoughts. Keep yourself positive, it can get dis-heartening at times when you want to be jumping but you must remain focused, visualse yourself fully recovered doing all your favourite moves..

I'm really sorry to hear about that kingo.your a positive influence on everyone and will definately be missed while your not training. But make sure that you listen to jon and that you use the time to increase your knowlege of training and the best ways to strengthen knees and above all your ability to heal yourself.
Make sure that you eat very well and that you are'nt eating loads of junk food.Remember that your body will use what you eat to repair itself.
Meditation and deep breathing are also vitally important. You need to keep getting oxygen around your body which does'nt work aswell if you breath shallow.
And again, like jon said, visualise. You can use this opportunity to increase loads of things.Stay positive and be responsible for your own healing, and you'l be back better than ever.Take it easy mate.J

Cheers Fogs and Jay. It will take a lot more than a dislocated knee to stop me, mind you it will slow me down . Don't worry I'l do what you guys have advised, after I'm better I thinking of starting conditioning and only working on small things, then build up slowly. Kingo

hey update on my knee.
It's healing good from lots and lots of sleeping and rest, now if you see the picture alexx has posted up, you see the big lump on the right well my one of the family is an sports fitness person helping people healing ( don't really know what they are called), well that lump was my knee cap. It had been moved out of place, but now I think it's back. I've got hospital appointment Wednesday which the docs will look at it and move my brace thing so I can bend my knee 70 degrees.
Hope your all OK and hope to be back soon.

OK i went doctor today about my knee. He said it's re-covering really fast, and i am able to bend it as much as possible. I got to go physio theory soon. Then I'l be able to jump again and the best thing he didn't say free running is silly when i told him how i did it, mind you he did give me a funny look. Here's a x-ray on the day I dislocated my knee.
