ok today one of the teachers at my sixth form asked what happened to my knee. I said i did it free running. Then he said " I'm not feeling sorry for you then doing free base jumping, that has no compition, rules." I tried talking but he's a big guy sports teacher, but he wouldn't. I mean free running is not dangerous if you know what your doing it's the same as other sports people always get hurt. right.

You dont need to argue the toss with anyone about FreeRunning. Let him think & say what he wants. You should be focusing that energy onto making a good recovery.
EDIT; Seems like these teachers are ignorant. It is often difficult for older people to accept new stuff possibly because they are past it and it undermines there personalized perception of what it means to be fit and/or strong. They may be suffering from Post- Alpha male syndrome. They are probably going through a midlife crisis. The majority of adults over 35 believe that they cannot be as physical as when they were in their *prime* or when they were young. Many mature men find it difficult to cope especially if they were in good shape in their youth. Take no notice, you are the new generation that will change the old ways of thinking about health & fitness.

yea they do, they wanted to see my teaching methods, so i said befor i start the class how about i give you a tester class just for the teachers, let them see how it is, and they loved it! but...... i know some of you may be against this but i refuse to teach some people, partly because they are "rude boys" and i know they will start abusing parkour in the school, and my class will get shut down, i hand pick the people for my class because of that, mostly year 7's and 8's due to that they are younge and as EZ said the future is in the kids, and they listen better, the one thing i dont want is any one to get hurt, but if you lot want to see my teaching methods, at southbnak i can take u through it, we start off with work outs, streches etc then move on to simple vaults, at the end of the day front flips, for the more advanced people, i spot them for backflip.
