i dunno if anyone has seen on urban freeflows website but they are having small sessions all of which are outdoors and there charging people 8 pounds or something for an hours worth of training now is it just me or is there something fundementally wrong with charging people to give them outdoor training which is something they can do themselves. the money is just going into urban freeflows pockets and it just doesnt seem right too me too charge money when your not really giving them something back you could, for no cost (minus a train ticket) go to southbank and learn from the traceurs there any thoughts ?

Very good point there. I don't know if you've heard the rumours that people within UrbanFreeflow (especially EZ) are money grabbing wh*res and they used to be out there for the Parkour now its just for the money... Prime example of why.

I think for inside classes it isnt a bad idea because its a safe enviorenment to learn and theyll do good warm up exercises that can be used when training however outdoor classes are just an exploitation of noobs I'd say. Although I can see benefits of doing classes outdoors to help boost confidence it's much better to just go and meet people who will teach you for no price and are somewhat less corrupt than UF. (us)

Time will tell, if it is what people want it will happen. It isnt right to dis' ez for trying to earn money, someone was going to try and ez has turned out to be the prominent 'baddie' character, that everyone loves to hate, within the capitalist arm of jumping, so he gets the majority of the flac, when it comes to profiteering, from those who believe jumping should remain free and not capitalised upon. It is the prominance of uf and the bad name they have created, for themselves, within the jumping community, wnich has drawn negative attention to the, training for profit, venture that uf are promoting. I am aware that Forrest and Dan of Parkour Generation have been giving training sessions for profit for a while now without too much noise from the wider jumping community. All reports i have regarding PG training sessions, from personal experiance spending time with Forrest and watching\learning from him as he goes about his personal training regime, are- proffesional, pesponsible practitioners of the art of Parkour. any time spent learning the correct way with PG is money well spent. There is a löt to say for the discipline of an organised training schedule that is overseen by traceurs who have dedicated many years of personal development towards reaching a standard where they know how to help beginners learn to train safely with the best route toward longterm improvement through a strenuous program of conditioning the areas of the body that are put under great strains under the necessity of impact control involved with jumping.
What wont help uf is their continual bandwagon jumping where they seem to copy anything that works for others. However that is capitalism and that is how it works. To be a successful capitalist you have to be hard nosed, unethical and ruthless with a total disregard for people and a preparedness to use anyone at any time for personal benift. That is just the way it is.
If you have issues with what uf are doing get yourself out there and show them how it should be done, passing the benifit of your experiance on to others for free. The Flying Squad way!
FS aint the best. . . . but FS is the best!

I think charging people for training is wrong, but i can kinda see the point if it is for a gym session as the trainers will need to get the money to pay for running costs and whatnot. paying someone to teach you outside is wrong. people should want to help spread the message of parkour, not for money, but for growth of parkour and the betterment of the world we live in.

that seems to be a reaccuring theme inside is ok but outside it shouldnt be charged but if your like urban freeflow and your making mega bucks like ez is the 240 pounds it costs to privatly hire basingstoke for example is peanuts
