as i live in south london and my brother is in one i know alot about gang culture but one thing they do is worth giving a try here .... they have youngers people who the take under their wings so they look up to them and in return they protect and teach their "younger" for instance im surreal so my younger might be called Y: surreal + younger surreal so why not work like that. have an apprentice someone who you are willing to take and guide them whilst they participate in the art of parkour. it would be a continuous circle the older teach. the youngers learn become olders and teach their youngers: generation to generation
what do you think guys ? ;D

nice 1, flying squad is based on the foundation of helping others progress, we dont have leaders or apprentices because we feel that everyone from beginner upwards is equal and everyone has strong points and weak points, everyone is a human being and as such is able to reach any standards or skills that another human has reached , it is only an individuals drive and motivation that seperates him from others. David Belle the founder of parkour talks in depth in his interviews about the importance of helping others and eliminating competative egos. Flying squad is known for helping others and thats why we take our time before making people family members because we have to make sure they are the right type of personality.

well said ef1
we are all equals. as said before everyone has their strong and weak points. you cant say that you are better than anouther practisioner, as each person is unique and all movements are free therfore no movment is considerd wrong. you can advise people and help them discover things for themselves. but they have to go at there own rate in their own way and that makes them unique.

you both have admirable points but some one who learns purely from observation might not be of the same category as someone with profound natural talent dont get me wrong i am not saying that we should judge each others moves according to that, but merely be willing to help where ever it is needed and as you said flying squad is only happy to help others so i sincerely hope we continue to do so, but i see nothing wrong with being unique at all as my name suggest im quite happy to stick out lol

flying squad will always help others. but as ef1 said we dont have apprentice's, as that makes the insinuation that we beleve we are better than that person. which goes against the foundation of what flying squad is about. but guiding others to better them selves is great and i hope everyone would be prepared to do that but everyone is equal. you may have been training longer than a person but we all started in the same place but we cant tell someone where to finnish thats for each person to find out for them selves. so everything you said was right, but dont consider someone as an apprentice's
