www.grim-fandango.com/test/fsI thought it would be best if I created a thread which I'd post in when I add new footage (or if anyone else adds any feel free to post in here). So, there's now footage in there from Sunday 25th at the Leap of Faith and Liverpool Street. Download it if you want it.

I only managed to film one Leap of Faith jump because I brought the dead battery but I thought I might as well share it... I don't know if I'm able to add video clips to the archive or even if its worth putting up, but here's a rapidshare link... rapidshare.com/files/23093325/Gavins_Leap_Of_Faith_Jump.wmvPS. I experienced very slow download speeds when downloading from that archive, so if anyone has the same problem, I can upload all the video's that are from the archive onto rapidshare which has no problems with download speeds.

You can upload them to RapidShare if you want, but the reason I didn't use that for the clips in the first place is that it isn't permenant (right?) and they have that annoying thing where you have to wait a couple of hours before downloading another file. Not sure why you're getting slow download speeds though... I get about 200 KB/s

Well technically files only last 45 days after no download, so they will be permanent if at least 1 person downloads it every 45 days. I've got quite a few files on my Rapidshare account and have already made a habit of regularly checking dates of the last downloads of my files and if it hasnt been downloaded for a while, I download it myself so it starts off the 45 day cycle all over again. So these files will be permanent so to speak. Also, there's a trick with Rapidshare waiting times, if you use a router it'll definitely work, not too sure modems but no harm in trying... Well basically, all you do is download a file on Rapidshare, then you take the power cable out of your router, put it back in again, wait about 10-20 seconds for the router to boot back up again and there you have it, unplugging it has reset your IP and your ready to download another file.

Hmm you wont be able to watch the footage with a mac, unless you have a program that can play WMVs (Windows Media Player videos) but you should still be able to save it. Hmm sorry about that, but WMV is the best format to convert them to.

Good work JPk, really appreciate your efforts with the archive. Seems the concept is being realised.

Nice work Beasty boy. Should all make an effort to place the films in one location to unify the archive otherwise films will be scattered all over the place and hard to follow. The video footage archive will work really well if all the footage is parked at the same location.

Just to clarify, the videos beast posted are the ones that were already on the archive, he uploaded them to RapidShare for people who get slow download speeds from the link on the footage archive.

Yeah, so this is basically a backup if the archive is running very slow. But also, any footage that DOTA James uploads on his archive I'll download and then upload on RapidShare and I hope he does the same for all my footage I upload. So then all the footage will be available via both the download methods.
