This is a really odd question but... Do any of you guys have a religion and why?? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ I, at the moment, are bordering between Paganism and Christianity, as although they have a lot of opposing beliefs, i like working with nature and going outdoors lil G

I'been brought up Christian, so that's what I'm sticking with, partly from personal balief and partly out of respect to my family.
I'm also a strong believer in , energy ( flowing through us, and around us- chi, chakra, ), phycological power and some related stuff.

Ahhhh religion. That old nutshell. The sooner Humans realise that religion is simply man made control mechanism the better off the whole planet will be. It is terrible that young people are conditioned into following the mistakes off there culture or family into a particular belief system simply because they know no better. Our perception of reality is an illusion, we manifest our beliefs into our own particular version of reality. If you choose to give your soveriegnty away to any one of these artificial gods you are by your own choice denying your true self. Religion is a scam hoisted on Humanity to limit us from reaching the stars.
Interesting reference material; Bruce Lipton Greg Braden.

Hey everyone long time no see, this thread caught my eye since i knew john would have something to say. you'll be pleased to know my opinion has changed alot about religion. and i pretty much agree with you now John. I still don't reckon religion is a "control mechanism" though, i think when it first came about it did so naturally and had an important part to play. but now we have mentally evolved to the point where we no longer need it. we don't need to feel as if someone is looking after us any more because we are relatively secure in our own oblivion so to speak. anyway the sooner the rest of the world realises this the better. But as far as your control mechanism theory goes I do think the religious leaders use religion to control the masses that still follow them. i mean look at the Vatican; the wealthiest organisation on the planet and it s pretty much based around a 2000 year old book with no proof or evidence to support it.
by the way i hope to be seeing you all real soon

Wicca is one of the main Pagan cults, along with Shamanism and things! I love the supernatural and i work with crystals and stuff. It sounds real odd, but its good fun! lil G
